A SNAPSHOT OF OUR SAILING COURSES AND PROGRAMS

Beaches Sailing delivers the first three levels of Sail Canada sailing courses: Introduction to Sail, Start Keelboat Sailing and Basic Cruising Skills. These Standards were developed by top level sailors and instructors to maximize learning outcomes for each stage in the development of your sailing skills. All are designed for the beginner/novice sailor; with lesson plans that build in steps methodically and instructors that are specially chosen for their aptitude and passion for instructing new sailors.

Courses are a combination of practical on the water training and supporting ashore knowledge. The majority of your course is hands on, in the boat sailing. Ashore knowledge varies per course but can include practical topics such as weather, basic chart reading, tide & current tables, rules of the road and safety.

Beaches Sailing also offers several programs, customized to your specific goals, objectives and personal interests. This includes the POC card, Mileage Builders and the administration of the Basic Cruising Challenge.

In short we can take you from an absolute beginner to a certified day skipper through our fun, safe, and interesting curriculum.
